We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.

For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.

Supporting learning, supporting our school
Parents are always very welcome and are involved with the life of the school. There are many opportunities to volunteer, such as in the classroom, library, sporting events, excursions, uniform shop, canteen and school events.

The active SPA (St Agnes’ Parent Association) strengthens the partnership between parents, family, school, parish and the wider community, and provides valuable support by fundraising to improve resources at the school, as well as plans for family social activities.

The Parent Advisory Council discuss school-related matters and provides wisdom and support for the benefit of our community.

Learning in Action
Parents are provided with regular features in newsletters and facebook insights into student learning, as well as both formal and invitational visits to hear about and see learning in action in the classroom, at ‘meet the teacher’ nights, and at open classroom events.

Communicating with us
We communicate with parents through our fortnightly newsletter, the Compass student information system and app, emails, phone and social media (Facebook). Parents are always welcome to call to book in with a teacher when required.
